Description:
During the months of October and February, orcas migrate down the Norwegian coast in search of herring. Living aboard the expedition ship MS Sula, we will be traversing the fiords of the Arctic Circle each day looking for relaxed pods of orcas to snorkel with.
Why snorkel
As scuba would be too slow to keep up with the orcas, these encounters take place on snorkel.
And there’s more
We may see whales too whilst looking for the orcas. If so, we will try to get in the water and interact with them also.

Our 2016 trip was hugely productive and delivered many incredible encounters with the orcas. Although interactions cannot ever be guaranteed, we are excited to know that we’ll be in the best place with an exceptional crew should opportunity present itself.
