Description:
Between October and February, killer whales migrate along the Norwegian coast in search of herring. During the past few years, a major hotspot has been around the small town of Hamn I Senja.
Our plan
Each morning (weather permitting), we will head out into the fjord in small aluminium boats in search of orcas. Our intention will be to snorkel with pods of orcas while they socialize, play and hunt for herring.
Snorkel
As scuba would be too slow to keep up with the orcas, these encounters take place on snorkel.
And there’s more
We may see whales too whilst looking for the orcas. If so, we will try to get in the water and interact with them also.
